Ballistic SE by Radiangames is one among the list of the noteworthy games being launched on the app store this week. Not so long ago, Radiangames released Fireball SE that wasn’t a great commercial success but was very well received and applauded by critics and core mobile gaming communities on the web. Let’s go ahead and find out if Ballistic SE is able to work the same magic.
Ballistic SE Game Review
In this retro looking arena based twin-stick shooter, you are to defend yourself and your area from enemies that come from all around. Ballistic Special Edition features wave based attacks that unlocks lots of unlocks, upgrades and enhancements that help you improve your firepower and reduce the attack time!
Ballistic SE can be played either in the wave mode or in the form of challenges. While the wave mode offers gamers to selecet wave ranges from 1 to 101, the challenge mode has 5 challenges which are pursuit, division, entropy, firepower and focus. The game has ten enhancements, all of which have two levels of activation. With each enhancement being unique and distinctively different from the other the gameplay becomes exceedingly entertaining and enjoyable.
As for the controls, there are two virtual sticks and there is a button for the ‘Ballistics Mode’. The left stick is to move around and the right stick is to fire. It is however, not necessary that you use the right stick because even if you don’t, the ship will auto-aim and fire. The reason behind the auto assist was mainly keeping in mind the fact that the dual stick controls take time getting used to.
All in all, this is a fun and entertaining game. Although it is slightly overpriced, but it still delivers what it is supposed to and you get full value for money! Give it a shot if you miss the good old fun of the our unadulterated arcade gaming experience. The game is available for downloads on the app store and is priced at $1.99
