TBS and Cartoon Network are out with their new game called ‘Banzai Blade’ which has been developed by Sarkaban and is now up for grabs on the app store. The last time we saw this duo team up was to publish Extinction Squad developed by [adult swim] which turned out to be an awesome endless runner and was a commercial success as well. Banzai Blade is also based on more or less the same concepts in the way the game takes course except for the fact that this fast paced game is about a ninja who is on a mission to bring justice.

Banzai Blade Game Review

Long ago, a great hero sacrificed his life to bring justice to the land of Nihon by detaining the powerful demon, Oni. He was held as a prisoner and all his powers were sealed in the shrines across Nihon and now after years the seals have weakened and the demon Omni is terrorizing to escape from the prison and spread evil across the holy land. This is when our hero comes to the scene; this little ninja will slash anyone and everyone who comes in his way. In this endless runner styled action game there are objectives to be completed to keep the gameplay interesting. Take control, destroy the army being sent by the demon and do your land proud.

Banzai Blade uses a mash-up of game physics that combines two categories; first being the ninja action games category and the second is the runner games category from games like Subway Surfers. The swipe controls work amazingly well (kinda give you the fruit ninja feel). Just move your finger across the screen to slit open the enemies. Savor the great deal of upgrades for armor and your sword that might give you the advantage of taking down the army with minimal efforts. There are plenty of in-app purchases available in the game to buy like the ‘Blossoms’ which seem to have replaced coins in this game.

The swipe Controls of Banzai Blade feel sharp and responsive while the graphics give it a nice ancient Chinese feel and so does the music. To sum it up, Banzai Blade is definitely fun to play and is worth a try. Sarkaban, the developers of this game have done a great job to make the game look and feel awesome. It does not bring anything new or unique to the app store as there are games with the same concept that are already available but for an app that is as engaging as this and free of cost too, this sure does not disappoint.
