Chicken Doom which is a new 3D tower defence game by BulkyPix pecks its way into the app store this week. This French-American game maker seems to be on a roll. We recently reviewed few of their latest game releases ‘WePad Party 1’, ‘Brainergy’, ‘Babel Rising 3D‘ and ‘Yesterday‘ all of which left us mighty impressed. This new release, Chicken Doom does look pretty promising but whether or not it lives up to the expectations set by their other games is what we have to see.

Chicken Doom has an exquisite storyline; it is always delighting to find games in the app store from publishers who believe in following a lucrative way of developing their apps. In this game you will play the characters of Biggy and Biguette, who have an objective to stop the chickens from reaching for the corn that is in their possession. The chicken troops are large in numbers and they are determined to take away your corn, so gather all your courage and gear up to show these poultry villains who the boss is. Use the turret as your weapon and take down the corn thieves before they approach your tower.

Chicken Doom has a feature where 2 players can simultaneously play in the same device. The game offers many upgrades to the weapons and has loads of power ups that can be used to stop the chickens from stealing your corn. The upgrades for your weapons will be useful to make combos and there are about 10 different types of chicken with distinct powers to take down, which make the game even more challenging. The game covers 6 different environments that will unlock as you keep making progress through the game.

The graphics could have been better as the characters look a bit corky and that kind of lets the entire experience down. The gameplay also lacks excitement as there is no strategy required to play this game. The controls are good but its the music provided to the game that makes up for all of its shortcomings as it is very catchy. Chicken Doom by BulkyPix is a good game with an amazing concept which has not been developed up to its potential and could have been much better. The game is fun to play yet it lacks the thrill that might have made this game truly awesome!
