Aardman and Green Ant Games in association with Chillingo bring you Fleece Lightning, a perfect tribute to Shaun the Sheep on the app store. With a very unsophisticated gameplay and some cheerful graphics, Fleece Lightning seems to be targeted more towards the younger audience on iTunes.

Shaun the Sheep: Fleece Lightning: Game Review

You are to guide Shaun the Sheep as he races down some treacherous farmland courses filled with trees, sludge filled ponds, hay stacks, farm houses and jumps while competing against the hoggish pigs. You are to beat the pigs to the finish line which is the end of the farmland in every race. You can only progress to successive levels on successfully finishing the race ahead of the last pig. In other words, if you fail to beat all of the pigs you are competing against to come last, you will have to redo the level.

The game offers 80 race levels spread over 10 farmland terrains which are; the Meadow, Veg Garden, the Park ,Pumpkin Patch, Camp Site, the Junkyard, the Orchard, the Swineyard, the Hogzwallop and the Mud Bath. The game offers new and unique obstacles with every terrain and some amazing power-ups that help you leap over roofs and rivers and rocket off ramps! Fleece Lightning also offers a custom level creator that lets you create levels from scratch, with your own choice of terrain and obstacles.

The game is supported by Crystal, so no game centre on this one! You have the options to enable or disable ghost and customize the game controls. Yes you can choose between touch, swipe and tilt controls to manoeuvre Shaun. All in all, this is a fun filled game and does manage to put a smile on to your face. It is bound to find more fans among kids, younger adults and all those die hard fans of ‘Shaun the Sheep’ ! This one is a universal app priced at $0.99 and is available for downlands on the app store.
