Godzilab’s Happy Street (which seems more like an iOS port of ‘Animal Crossing: City Folk’) lets you enter a lively world of 2d town building, with some state of the art visuals and strangely cute and adorable animals. In Happy Street, gamers can build their own villages, discover places, interact and make friends, play games, complete challenges or simply hang around. This is another addition to the list of social games on the app store that incorporate the now largely popular freemium model. The characters (animals, creatures… I’m not sure) in the game are completely customizable too and they speak some totally incomprehensible gibberish – the kind that the wife, kids and random teenage girls will think is cute!

The game, in its current form offers three unique environments and more can be expected soon in the form of updates. Happy Street, falls into the category of games like those that are vastly popular on Facebook and therefore irrespective of what I say, this game is bound to have many many downloads. And while, I personally don’t enjoy this genre a lot, I will not take credit away from the developers because the end product is great indeed and I’d not think twice before downloading this on my iPad for the kids!
