BBC are back on the app store with Ka-Bloom – a new physics based puzzle game that involves linking gems in various orders to feed the flower-like creature called Floret.

Ka-Bloom Game Review

After a pretty long time, the app store now has a puzzler that combines jaw dropping visuals and colorful graphics with some intriguing levels that are nothing short of brain teasers!

The game revolves (it literally does) around the Floret which is a super-hunger creature that resembles a flower and supposedly brings warmth and life to the cosmos. You are to chain tasty gems in the most feasible order in order to feed them all to the Floret in the least possible turns. At the end of each level, your performance is rated based on three metrics which are – level finished, target score beaten and everything eaten.

These three can earn you a maximum of three stars and you need to beat a required threshold to unlock consecutive levels. The levels get interesting and tricky as you go deeper and deeper into the game and you are presented with newer gems with additional features too.

Our verdict – Ka-Bloom is a game that is simple to understand but difficult to master. It has some amazing visuals and sounds that make you fall in love with the game. Give this game a shot, its definitely worth the price and deserves a spot on your iDevice.
