The main character in Paper Monsters is made of cardboard and he is the only hero from paper land who can save the others from the Paper Monsters. The gameplay feels like an upgraded version of Super Mario, except for the background and music, which is very well done. The two types of controls are Virtual joystick & Classic Touchpad.

Paper Monsters has 4 chapters and each chapter has 4 levels.

Yibiki Peaks
Cardboard Dunes
Papyrus Ruins

Chapter 1 is very similar to that of Super Mario and if you find trolleys like the ones shown below use it to reach the higher blocks, this level has automated elevators.

Chapter 2

The background theme of this chapter is Christmas Eve. Here, you come across a few exciting features like driving a submarine and Paper yeti’s, who would attack you as well.

Chapter 3 & Chapter 4

The theme of one is that of a desert and the other being the era of dinosaurs. There are many animals used like flying birds, scorpions and all that which can possibly be made out of Paper.

Paper Monsters features a bonus level too. The in-game controls are not very precise and there is just a single checkpoint available in this game which makes it annoying to play the game from the beginning if you haven’t made it to the checkpoint.

Below are the achievements that can be collected during gameplay.

Silver Buttons – Points and bonus.
Golden buttons – To buy goodies for the hero.
50 Silver Buttons can be exchanged for 1 gold at the end of each level.
Gold buttons can be used to buy accessories for the character from the dressing room.
3 Paper Clips can be collected in each level and this would be useful for the bonus level.
Gold buttons can also be purchased.

Chapter one use the trolley to jump higher if needed.
Chapter two in level 4, target the bombs near the huge octopus to make it more effective.
