GAMEVIL, the developers of Baseball Superstars and many other startling games, have come out with their new title ‘Plants War’. There is a war being fought between the Plants and the Beasts. The beasts have taken over the Dryad Forest and the plants have decided to stand up against them by taking out the power from Lake Naiad.

Plants War Game Review

Plants War is a role playing game and the entire war depends on your strategic skills, not only to save the forest but also to eliminate the beasts. This game can be played in 3 different skill modes and includes a lot of attributes that may seem interesting. This also happens to be the first in a whole new class or genre called DOTA which stands for ‘Defense of the Ancients’ to be featured on the app store.

The main gameplay is fundamentally centered around choosing your upgradable hero and the assisting troops that you wish to deploy in order to try an destroy the enemy’s base before they can do the same to your’s. This is something that is simple to explain (or understand) but difficult to achieve. From head to toe this game is filled with factors that will depend on your strategic decisions.

If you’ve been playing DOTA games, you will understand that mastering the game is not exactly rocket science; it is just the best amalgamation of choices that you make in selecting your troops based on the requirements in each level. Plants War is free in the App Store and in order to get additional upgrades and unlocks, users have the option of purchasing the IAPs which help level up faster and make the levels a little easier to complete.

Plants War has some “dazzling 3D visuals” and the gameplay is unique with a completely different story line. All in all, we would sum it up by calling this a ‘thinker’s game’. It’s not exactly the kind of a game that will make you exercise your grey matter but it still happens to be heavy on strategy and requires you to use your head. It is still worth giving a shot, because it brings something totally new to the app store!
