After a two week long break, Chillingo is back with a brand new game called Robbery Bob which is their only release this week. It is quite sad that we’re not seeing two weekly releases from them anymore since they have built a reputation for being the only publisher that brings us some really mind blowing games week after week.

Robbery Bob Game Review

Robbery Bob is a brilliant fusion of stealth and 2D excitement. Our villain, Bob was rotting in prison until a mysterious man helped him sneak out. Now the man wants Bob to repay the favor by looting all the houses in and around the neighborhood. Bob owes him his freedom and cannot deny. Hence you are to help Bob clear the loot scattered around the house and escape from the place before an alarm is raised.

Robbery Bob has 3 chapters with bonus levels too. In every level of the game your objective is to steal the items without being noticed. You can use the ninja feature to hide in a few levels which is simply brilliant but do watch out for people and dogs. Your points in every level will depend on 3 factors which are Bob not being detected, completing the level in the given time and collecting all of the loot items. Having difficulty finishing a level? You can always use the In-App Purchase included to get things going.

The gameplay of Robbery Bob is simply stunning and the background music really syncs with the theme of the game. The game looks brilliant on the iPad but the gameplay on the smaller devices causes a little bit of concern since you need to zoom out completely you have any chance of getting a clear picture of the entire game area.

To sum it up, Robbery Bob is a great game that has a fresh and unique feel. The game has evolved a new genre by itself and is sure to immerse a lot of people in the joy of robbery.
