It was quite a challenge trying to find and install Shrek’s Fairytale Kingdom as there were so many apps in the iTunes Store that have the popular character from the blockbuster movie ‘Shrek’. The best part is that in spite of there being quite a few apps named after this renowned ogre, people still seem to love him a lot. Beeline Interactive has capitalized on his fortune this time and made the most of it with the release of Shrek’s Fairytale Kingdom which is a game that contains a twisted yet amazing story that makes the gameplay both thought provoking and fun at the same time.

Shrek’s Fairytale Kingdom

Shrek’s Fairytale Kingdom showcases an ogre who is on a simple quest to rebuild his house but does not know what actually lies in his path. Help him rebuild everything, starting from the outhouse to the dirty swamps and not to forget this beloved mud bath. The story goes something like this; Shrek was happy and content with his life until the fairytale beings from a ‘Far Far Away’ kingdom march into his peaceful life. Shrek decides not to let his dreams die but to get his house back and this marks the beginning of the SAGA, the journey which changes the life of this ogre forever and after as he meets his true love, the one and only ‘Princess Fiona’.

The best things about this game are that it preserves the story from the movie and that you get a chance to interact with all the acclaimed characters, especially the adorable friend of the ogre ‘Donkey’. You also get to play and control their characters as the game goes on. The instructions on how to play are well written and the gameplay is simple and pretty self explanatory. At any point during the game, you can check out the quest book to determine your objectives and the details required to complete your mission effectively. You also get to go on quests where you will be surprised to find a few awesome collectibles. You might come across hurdles too but if you are equipped with the right source then nothing can stop you from completing the mission. The game also lets you socialize with your friends to make it even more engaging.

Shrek’s fairytale Kingdom also contains a few mini games that are hilarious. In-app purchases are available in abundance in this game and if you wish to complete things fast you might need to spend a few bucks to buy a cluster of wishes or coins from the App Store. The game contains nice graphics and the background music just sets everything right. The normal tap controls are crisp and work pretty well. Shrek’s Fairytale Kingdom is the kind of game that can easily put a smile on anyone’s face, as its about everyone’s favorite ogre and it also contains the right blend of flavors that a game should have making it one of the best games we have come across on the app store this month.
