This week Chillingo have brought out Tanglers, a game that has been developed by Green Studio. Last week, Chillingo proved it to all their users that they are still the finest when it comes to publishing games with the release of their story based game ‘The Act’ that contained a new and unique style of gameplay, which was never seen or heard of on the iOS platform. So let’s see if the brand has been successful enough in repeating its success with the release of their new game this week.

Tanglers Game Review

Tanglers is a fast paced game where users will need to match the alien creatures (tanglers) spread across the screen with the help of a plasma line that can be created by tapping the two identical creatures to make them disappear. The 2 main factors in the game are the time and the angle in which the Tanglers are connected and unfortunately you can’t have more than 2 angles in the plasma line. So your objective in the game would be to wipe out the screen clean as quickly as possible to make way for the next wave of tanglers keeping in mind the time limit.

In the game you would be eligible to get a few bonus points, which depends on how well you connect the distant tanglers and with game center as an added feature you can always brag about your high scores to your friends or family. The characters used in the game are really cute and the tap controls are as accurate as they can get. Tanglers is a very simple to play game that kids might enjoy more than adults.

All in all, Tanglers is OK, it’s a rehash of an already existing game concept and has nothing compelling about it. With so many gem matching games available on iTunes, Green Studio should have looked at making this game a bit different or launched this game for free to attract a lot of people to enjoy this game. The game is available for downloads and is priced at $0.99. Try it if you fancy gem matching games and are looking at something new.
