From the greatest feature animated film makers Disney/Pixar and Imangi the makers of the original Temple Run which continues to be one of the most played games, comes a new version of the game ”Temple Run: Brave”. In Brave, you play the lead role of Merida, who runs, jumps over the gaps, slides under different barriers, collects precious coins and even shoot down targets in the amazing new world of Disney Pixar’s movie Brave.

Temple Run: Brave Review

The original Temple Run game broke records and found its way towards the top list as one of the most played games on iOS after the great success of Angry Birds. Now disney seem to have taken the era forward with the launch of Temple Run “Brave”. The former Temple Run version revolved around several curious temple walls and paths where the protagonist attempts to steal an idol and is being chased by demonic monkeys. The gameplay is kept the same, Merida replaces the original man and Mordru is a deadly tall bear with sharp teeth and hard claws. The Archery adds good features on the new game, where you should tap targets in a row to shoot a bull’s-eye, earn extra coins and power ups. Although the game is not for free, the patriotic Temple Run fans won’t mind paying for and downloading it. You also get 2500 coins free for power-ups and more. And of course if you’re impatient of collecting coins hit the iStore to buy more IAP’s.

The game Brave is enriched with new graphic and vibrant visuals in a colourful way extracted from scenes of the movie. The entire new environment was inspired by Disney/Pixar Brave and the wilds of Scotland. The mechanics of the game are the same as in the original “Temple Run” where you just swipe left or right to make your character to turn and tilt the iDevice to collect the coins at the edge of the path. I personally felt the gameplay, is less responsive than the original Temple Run. There is lag in certain places such as when you turn a lot and jump a lot. But on the other hand, I love this version a lot more than the original.

Temple Run game lovers can pick up the next iteration of the game based on the upcoming Disney/Pixar movie called Brave, this game will get you on your heels and as the wise men have quoted “The brave may not live forever, but the cautious don’t live at all”.
