Where’s My Perry?

Verdict: Average Release date: Jun 28, 2012 Genre: Puzzle Developer: Disney Publisher: Disney Price: $0.99 |
After the success of ‘Where’s my Water?’, Disney have tried to recreate the magic with the same concept but with a character from their famous cartoon series ‘Phineas and Ferb’. Yes we are talking about the platypus, Perry known as Agent P, who is famous for his logics, skills and more than anything else, his abilities to save the world from the bad guys especially Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Where’s My Perry? is physics based puzzle game and it’s a very nonsensical move by the game developer to release a new game with minor tweaks rather than providing this game as an update to the previous version of their game.
Where’s My Perry? Game Review
We don’t want Agent P to be late, as Major Monogram has called him for a mission briefing at the headquarters but Agent P is stuck in the transportation tubes. You are to help the platypus get to the headquarters on time, which can be done by leading the water or steam to the generators that in turn would power up the tubes. Gnomes in this have replaced the ducks from the previous version of the game and there are various kind of crazy machines placed across different levels of the game that would convert water to different possible forms which would be required get the transportation tube working. ‘Where’s My Perry?’ has 4 different chapters and each contains 20 challenging levels. The gameplay of this game is almost identical to ‘Where’s my Water?’ including the features like collecting the gnomes, collectibles and bonus levels.
Yes, the developers have squeezed in a few new and adorable features but it still is a rehashed version of the previous game. If you are an ardent fan of the concept then you are bound to love this game but if you (like most of us) have had enough of ‘Where’s my Water?’ and are looking for something new then give it a skip. Disney recently also launched ‘Temple Run: Brave’. The game was nothing but ‘Temple Run’ repackaged with graphics and characters from their movie ‘Brave’. First a game with only commercial motives to promote their new film and now another rehash in the form of ‘Where’s my Perry?’. Either these big publishing houses are simply running out of ideas or they don’t consider the iOS community as anything more than a platform where they can rework older games and release them to make a few thousand dollars or to promote their films. The game is available for downloads on the app store – and while I find it completely preposterous to pay $0.99 for what could have simply been an update to ‘Where’s my Water?’, I’ll let you guys decide whether or not to get it for yourself!
